Hisar: A group of Bajarang Dal activists pressure a Muslim youth to say ‘Bhararth Mata ki Jai’ and slap him when he refuses to meet their demands.
The incident had reportedly taken place in Hisar, Haryana on Tuesday. The victim has been identified as a trader from Uttar Pradesh. He had visited the mosque to offer prayers.
On the aftermath of terror attack on Amarnath pilgrimage which left 7 dead, including 6 women and 19 injured, a small group of Banjrang Dal activists in a video gathered near a mosque and began demanding repeatedly coerce the youth to say ‘Bharath Mata Ki Jai’ before an anonymous persons started slapping him. In the background some one could be hear calling ‘Oye Moorde’.

The protestors were later seen burning effigies and sloganeering against Pakistan. One of bigoted hoodlum in the video was seen saying “We question the inaction of Central Government and the Home minister, who offers subsidies to those who return bullets and we will not let other religious people stay in Haryana.”
The police were alerted about the incident and they quickly deployed a task group around the mosque to stop the situation going out of control. The police spokesperson said no written complaint has been received in this regard.
City station house officer (SHO) Lalit Kumar “We have not received any complaint so far. We are investigating the matter. If we get a written complaint, the police will take action,” – told The Hindustan times
The protest was original scheduled to take place near Parizat chowk, but venue was later shifted a mosque near Lahoria Chowk.
Bajrang Dal Kapil Vats dismissed the allegations stating “no one from Bajrang Dal manhandled anyone. We also came to know about this. We only protested against terrorism and left from there. We are not aware what happened after that.” -PTI
It could be noted that constitution doesn’t mandate anyone to say ‘Bharath Mata ki Jai’.
