Asaduddin Owaisi tears into RSS hypocrisy, taunts the group to pressure government to end IPL sponsorship by a Chinese firm.
AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi on Tuesday questioned the RSS leader Indresh Kumar’s call for a ban to Chinese products in India, terming it an hypocrisy of the RSS.
He addressed the reporters in Hyderabad that by their hyper-nationalist narratives RSS was trying to distract the attention of the people from genuine issues they face.
He said if the RSS is true to its word , then the organization should ask Prime Minister Narendra Modi to cut bilateral trade with China.
Owaisi the Lok Sabha Member of Parliament from Hyderabad quoted the mission of the RSS leaders was to mislead people under the garb of nationalism.
“Let Indresh Kumar and other RSS leaders go to the PM who himself was a Swayamsevak and tell him to immediately cut off bilateral trade with China,” he said.
Owaisi pondered when they have their own government at the center, whats stopping them from demanding the BCCI to end the IPL sponsorship by a Chinese firm.
As many day to day products of nearly every consumer in India are made in China, he couldn’t come to terms on how the government plans to stop it.
Owaisi took a dig at Idresh Kumar’s recent statement remarking “There will be no need to make bunkers from Gobar.”
He also pointed the governments silence on China’s claim that the strength of Indian solders in Doklam had scaled down ten fold.
The Lok sabha MP said he was shocked at the recent statement by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in the sate assembly that explosives were recovered in the assembly premises even prior to any investigation.
Owaisi said the lab tests had shown that material found was talcum powder.
He said the Chief Minister had not given due thought before his comments and alleged that an atmosphere of ‘insecurity’ was created around the Muslims.
“This shows their mindset. They want to link everything with nationalism and national security and create insecurity to further their agenda,” he said.
Owaisi appealed to the people of Uttar Pradesh to make a note of how their Chief Minister gave a false statement in the assembly.
